Love Letters to Feminism

ON TOUR

Love Letters to Feminism: Mail Art from Lovers Everywhere – Exhibition

Xpace in Toronto, November 5-6, 2010

Annie’s work is in the touring exhibit curated by art activist and educator Carolyn Jervis, Love Letters to Feminism, which features the work of artists from coast to coast and abroad. It is an installation that considers the kinds of relationships that contributing artists have with feminism. Is it a long-term relationship? An unrequited love?

Women and men submitted works of mail art that express personal engagements and relationships with feminism in an interactive exhibition that first launched at the Women’s Studies Program Gallery at the University of Alberta in Edmonton.  The exhibition also toured Concordia University in Montreal as part of the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences.

Love Letters to Feminism was on exhibit at XPACE in Toronto, November 5-6, 2010, during the WIAprojects Symposium, Performing Feminist Culture, at XPACE Cultural Centre.
